All About Almonds for Health

Here are some quick Bits on Almonds…

Almonds are associated with the sacral chakra which plays a big role in our creativity, sexuality and inspiration. It’s our pleasure center. Therefor, I’m sure you can imagine some of the positive energetic and physical benefits not often discussed about almonds. 

Not only are almonds great to add in for sexual healing, eliminating sexual frustration and increasing sensuality, they are also great for heart health and weight loss. They contain eight of the nine essential amino acids, boost brain function thanks to riboflavin and l-carnitine. They are high in protein and the high-fat content can assist in regulating hormones.

And if that wasn’t cool enough for you, energetically, they are known to assist spiritual awakenings- ever notice the foods you crave during certain transformations in your life? There’s a reason. Almonds are the plant of resurrection. They also help us stay heart-centered which reduces impulsive tendencies, allowing us to take a beat before speaking, acting, or reacting.

They’re one of my favorites. 

I highly recommend eating organic sprouted almonds (really all nuts and seeds). The reason I prefer and encourage the sprouted version is they are more easily digested, have higher enzymes allowing our bodies to absorb the nutrients they offer. Almonds specifically when sprouted release phytic acid which is an enzyme inhibitor, meaning it will bind to minerals and block absorption. That’s why I prefer sprouted, they taste better, are way cleaner, and are free from phytic acid. 

I will also note that when one is in a gut healing season or protocol, generally, it’s good to consider saving the nuts and seeds for another time. But, always trust your own intuition and guidance system.
